Zach “Ekzakt” Perry

Zach “Ekzakt” Perry is a Los Angeles–based music producer and engineer with roots in the San Francisco Bay Area. His work bridges hip-hop and R&B, combining a producer’s creative perspective with a recording and mix engineer’s attention to detail.

After studying audio engineering at Expressions College in Emeryville, Zach built his early career working with Bay Area artists, including Mistah F.A.B. He moved to Los Angeles in 2013, where engineering sessions with Tank led to opportunities with Kelly Rowland and Jamie Foxx.

His production credits include 6LACK’s “Let Her Go” and PARTYNEXTDOOR’s “SHOWING YOU.” He also served as a producer and engineer on LaRussell’s HUSTLENOMICS. He mixed Jill Scott’s entire album To Whom This May Concern, including “To B Honest” featuring JID, “Me 4,” and “Offadaback.” His longstanding collaboration with Too $hort also extended to MOUNT WESTMORE, where he helped shape the group’s debut as a music director, arranging recordings alongside Too $hort and mixing vocals.

Collaboration is central to Ekzakt’s approach. Whether producing, tracking or mixing, he focuses on understanding the artist’s vision and finding the sound that moves it forward. His work is grounded in trust, musical instinct and care for the details that make a record feel complete.
